Also I think you use the term Gnostic a bit loosely, nonetheless if you want to put your hand on strong Gnostic underlying teaching, you'd want to investigate Monasticism, which practically was born in Egypt, with their emphasis that the body, and the body needs are evil, and from there sought their own way in search for that ecstatic experience, wanting to meet God, in which of course apparitions were a common occurrence. No, the Coptic church had been historically Arian. There are a smaller part that believe in the divinity of Christ but the majority to this day are Arian. This is a well establish fact that goes back to the Arian controversy even before the Council of Nicaea. Read some of the accounts here

You can claim to live in Egypt but I've studied the Coptic church for more than 20 years and know it's history. Which you are not accurately representing.
